Back To School!

Laci started back at school last week. So far, she has done really great! We tried preschool last year with her and it didn't work out so well. I mean, why would it when she can stay home with her Mammaw and do whatever she wants? She is just a tad bit spoiled...and loved by so many...lol! She is only going three days a week...Monday, Wednesday and Friday...and is staying until right before naptime at 1:00pm. Kevin and I are really hoping that this will help her adjust for Kindergarten next year!!

She has also decided that she wants to do ballet and soccer. That is a lot of extra activities for a 4 year old, but at least it helps her stay active. Ballet will be on Tuesdays, soccer practice will be on Thursdays and then games on Saturdays! Whew! That is a lot of running!

I am so thankful that I have been able to take her to school and ballet these past couple of weeks. I have one more week off and then back to rotations;-( I dread getting back in the swing of things! But, I know that it is nearing an end!! Hopefully, if boards go well in September and October, I will get into residency and actually begin getting paid in 10 months!! Yay

Where has the summer gone?

We have been so busy this summer that it seems like forever since I have gotten on here!!  I have been trying to finish up my 3rd year rotations and begin studying for boards (last set to pass before finally becoming a doctor...yay!!).  We have made some time to spend together as a family though, which is so important!

In July, we went to our usual beach, Oak Island, for a week long vacation (well...Kevin and Laci had a bit over a week with my family and I only had about 4 days since I had to fly back home to continue my endocrine rotation).  We always go during 4th of July week and I just love watching the fireworks over the ocean!  This year, we drove into Myrtle Beach to go to Barefoot Landing and Alligator Adventure on the 4th of July.  So much fun there!  It was hot as all getout, but we had a blast!

Kevin and Laci start school in a little over a week...so early this year!  But I know that Fall is just around the corner and that just so happens to be my favorite time of the year!!

Kings Island and Great Wolf Lodge

Been a while since we blogged!  I am doing my surgery rotation right now, so I am staying super busy...lol!!  Plus, it has been crazy with end of the school year madness and t-ball, but it is all fun!  This past weekend, we traveled to OH to go to the Great Wolf Lodge and King's Island!  It was so much fun.  Laci had never been to King's Island before and she loved the kiddie portion.  The GWL was really nice too...we are already planning a return trip!  Here are some pics that I wanted to share of this mini vaca!
